Project estimating and scheduling
Overview The course focuses on managing the constraints faced in any project: limits on time, human resources, materials, budget, and specifications.
Course objectives Delegates will :
- Understand the purpose of the Time and Cost Management.
- Use the Work Breakdown (WBS) as a foundation for estimating and control.
- Use tools for effective time / cost management.
- Establish a comprehensive baseline.
- Use Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to evaluate and measure time and cost.
- Identify the characteristics of troubled projects.
- Use effective negotiation strategies for time and cost.
- Plan for contingencies and anticipate variations.
- Predict future project performance based on historical data.
- Monitor changes and close projects on time.
